Car Tires Are Not Just Rubber

All modern car tires are now radial. Car tires are a tremendous blight on the environment, and there are about a billion car tires stockpiled in our country. Re-treaded passenger car tires are manufactured according to standards. Today’s passenger-car tires are safer at much higher speeds than 80 mph. While passenger-car tires are nearly all radials these days, ST tires are still available in bias-belted construction. We all know that our car tires are filled with air and that at certain times the air pressure in them decreases. The sport car tires are built to provide excellent traction and handling.

This standard specifies performance, labeling, and certification requirements for retreaded pneumatic passenger car tires. Higher-performance tires have softer, grip pier rubber with shorter tread life. There are quite a few levels of performance tires available on the market, from full-on race tires to general use passenger car tires. There are various types of performance tires that are sold in the market. Performance and luxury touring tires are quiet and handle incredibly well, sometimes it is hard to believe that these types of tires are having the ability to produce results like this. When using performance tires they tend to wear out quicker than usual everyday car tires that you would put on family cars. An Exhaust Gas Analyzer Can Help You Breathe A Little

Checking the emissions of a vehicle are within regulations, finding leaks in the exhaust system, and even measuring engine efficiency are all jobs that are possible using an exhaust gas analyzer. These modern and advanced systems offer a range of functionality that mean they are becoming an essential part of a mechanic’s arsenal in tracking down any maintenance issues with cars and trucks, and making the first steps towards getting the problem fixed.

In its simplest form, an exhaust gas analyzer simply measures the types of gas that are present in a sample, and provides a reading to the operator to show them its findings. They are most usually used in order to search for leaks in a vehicle exhaust system, and to measure emissions. An exhaust gas analyzer can find various gasses in a vehicle exhaust including carbon monoxide, as well as being able to locate potential sources of fire where unburned fuel is released and can combust on contact with hot areas.

Mechanics Veto Extending Oil Changes

The nation’s top mechanics are rejecting the recommendation by some in the auto field that cars can go 5,000 miles or more before oil is changed.

National Institute for Auto-motive Service Excellence (ASE)-certified Master Automobile technicians weighed in on this and other issues in a survey conducted by Valvoline. The survey covered the controversial recommendation and trend toward longer intervals between oil changes, as well as the costs to car owners of delayed maintenance.

“Certified Master Automobile Technicians are the best of the best,” said ASE President Ron Weiner. “They are on the front lines of taking care of today’s vehicles and they have definite thoughts on how motorists can participate in making their cars and trucks run better and last longer.”
